Window into Philippians

The city of Philippi was in north eastern Greece. (It was named after Philip II of Macedon, the father of Alexander the Great.) The church in Philippi was founded by the apostle Paul on his second missionary journey, recorded in Acts 16:1-40. (Philippi as the first city to be evangelized in Europe.) Latter while in prison (possibly in Rome), Paul writes to the folks in Philippi and discusses his imprisonment, discord in the church, false teachers and other matters. (
